An artful exploration
We have a history of working with found objects – old wire, barn boards, bits of metal and glass – so interesting texture has always been something we look for in art. With our gel prints, the goal was to embody some of that texture, the weathered wood, the rust, the sparkle, but on paper. It may not be as gnarled as an old barn board with the paint peeling off, but we think we’ve gotten pretty close. If you’re looking for a subtle way to add some thoughtful texture into your space, please consider one of these beautiful prints.
About gel prints
StoryPeople Gel Prints – simple elegance
Our gel prints are for when you want to express yourself with a quiet refinement. Instead of figures, we use simple motifs and textured backgrounds to connect you to the story in a different way. These are ideal if you want to add a splash of color and a touch of meaning to your space.
Perfect for the home and workplace
Whimsical figures are not for everyone, so we developed a line of prints that put the story front and center with a clean, minimalist look that will fit right in on the walls of your home or workplace.
Layers of goodness
A gel print is made by applying paint to a gelatin plate (no, not the edible kind), and pressing it onto paper like a giant stamp. This process is repeated as many times as necessary to get the desired result, creating a deeply textural piece of art.
Our newest line
If you’re wondering why there aren’t more gel prints available, that’s because this is our newest line. There are more on the way, we promise!
